Payroll

Every payslip line recomputed by code from approved hours and rates.

Upload the payroll register, approved hours, rates, the roster and contracts. Deixio proposes the recompute and the validity tests, code does every calculation, and you decide each difference.

Illustrative overview of Payroll end to end: your intent, tests the AI proposes and you approve, the run, results you decide and the workpaper you sign, then run again next period.
Illustrative · sample data

Many small calculations, each one easy, all of them slow.

Every payslip line is hours times a rate, checked against a roster and a contract. One line is quick. A full register is days, so it is usually sampled.

From the plan to the findings, every decision is yours.

02Tests · The AI proposes, you approve

Tests drafted from the evidence and your intent.

The AI looks through the evidence and proposes each test with what it proves, its population, its sources and what counts as an exception. It lists what it noticed and asks its questions. Nothing runs until you approve the plan.

  • Recompute each line from approved hours and the rate in force
  • On the roster
  • Within employment dates
  • Paid twice
  • No contract
Illustrative example: tests for payroll drafted by the AI, with one added by the auditor, and an approve control.

At a glance: Payroll

What you upload

  • The payroll register
  • Approved hours and rates
  • The roster and contracts

Tests the AI may propose

  • Recompute each line from approved hours and the rate in force
  • On the roster
  • Within employment dates
  • Paid twice
  • No contract
  • Approval
  • Overtime
  • Part periods
  • Currency
  • Cost centre

The AI proposes tests from your evidence and intent; these are examples, not a fixed list.

What you get

  • Recorded and recomputed pay, with the difference per line
  • Findings
  • The workpaper

What the auditor sees.

Illustrative example: a findings list where one finding is confirmed by a reviewer with a date, and others wait for a decision.
Illustrative · sample data

Every decision is a person’s.

Findings wait for a decision: confirm, reject or ask the client. Signing is blocked while any finding is open, and each decision records who and when.

Illustrative example: recorded gross pay opened beside its source file, with the row where it is found, read by code.
Illustrative · sample data

Every figure explains itself.

Open a figure to see the page it was read from, the box around it, how sure the AI was and who accepted it.

Watch one procedure run, figure by figure.

In 30 minutes we run a procedure end to end on sample data and show you where every figure comes from.

  • A source for every figure
  • Human in the loop
  • Append-only, hash-chained audit trail

Questions about payroll

Which rate is used?

The rate in force for the period, from the rates and contracts you upload.

Does the AI do the maths?

No. The recompute is done by the engine, in decimal. The AI proposes the tests and reads the documents; it never adds or multiplies.

Can it flag people with no contract or no roster entry?

Yes. Validity tests flag employees with no contract, no roster entry, pay outside their employment dates or a second payment, each with its source.

What about overtime and part periods?

The AI proposes tests for overtime and part periods when the evidence supports them. You decide which tests to keep.

What do we get at the end?

Recorded and recomputed pay with the difference per line, the findings you decided, and the workpaper.
